  I went to knights jewellers being local to them, to fix a cracked screen of a watch, the watch itself holds a great deal of sentimental value being my Mums, who sadly passed away a few years ago. When I handed the watch in I explained the sentimental value it held, they said somebody would be in contact within 5 days to give me an estimate, this did not happen, so I visited the shop and was told they couldn't do the repair and the watch was not yet back from the repair shop, today I received a call to be told that my mothers watch has been lost and they are sorry but there's nothing further they can do but offer me £250 which I felt insulted by. I was called by Julia who spoke over me most of the time, not allowing me to share how I feel, at first she said that the watch was signed in and out, and she doesn't know what has happened, she then explained that her assistant manager had possibly thrown it in the bin by accident, she told me she 'took advice' which is what her offer is based on and said I should be happy with it as the watch is worth less than what she had offered! I then asked her if I could be provided with the details of the repair shop to get to the bottom of what has happened, she declined this and said she had to take 'further advice'. I just couldn't believe what I was hearing. I feel appalled and saddened, I declined the money as it's simply not about the money. I would like my mothers watch, I feel robbed. I would not recommend this jewellers at all based on my experience, and will be sharing my experience wider as I feel this is simply unacceptable. The only reason there is a 1 star rating is because I couldn't post this without giving any, this jewellers do not deserve any stars after the experience I have had.
